Letters To Life

My hands are cold tonight again All their warmth is gone The scarlet of my face Has turned pale yellow I wander alone till dawn It was wonderful till it lasted But this moment had to come You had to go On your separate way Our journey together is done I hope you would cherish The times we spent together But the merry bird has sung And flew away  Leaving behind a feather

Don't stand on my grave and cry O dear love, I did not die I remain with the winds that blow I wriggle through the rocks  with the rivers that flow I shine with the glint of snow I rise with plants that grow I'll be there always around you Though not in this form But a thousand others Pray, don't waste a precious tear I just appear and disappear So don't stand there, on my grave and cry I'm still here, I did not die
